The Federation of Energy Workers of the Argentine Republic (FeTERA) demands the immediate reinstatement of the 400 dismissed workers at Yacimientos Carboníferos Río Turbio (YCRT).
The national government must resolve the conflict urgently in such a way that the mine is reactivated without resorting to the loss of a single job to guarantee the sources of work since YCRT is the economic support of thousands of families from both Rio Turbio and November 28 and, with this decision, both communities are being put at risk.
From FeTERA we understand that YCRT must contribute to national energy development and be a state coal company at the service of the people. Therefore we express our solidarity with the dismissed workers and their families.
We demand the immediate reinstatement of these workers and the end of dismissals.
